The Alfred Hospital Hyperbaric Facility was given a complete upgrade which included stripping the Triple Lock chamber to its bare steel and then the subsequent redesign and rebuild of the chamber interior and all of its life support systems.
Of particular note is the installation of new state of the art internal LED lighting that is dimmable via an internal HMI touch screen and which provides the best lighting to date for hyperbaric chambers. A new Control Panel includes the latest user friendly programmable operating system and fits well into the Alfred’s remodelled hyperbaric area.
Support systems were also upgraded including a new 32 cylinder high pressure air bank for compressed air back up, new ECS, new wireless communications, a sound proof room to house the new pressurisation and exhaust valving and a state of the art video surveillance system for internal chamber monitoring
While the upgrade was taking place, the Alfred Hyperbaric unit continued treatments using our leased Single Lock.
